War Card: Ace of Spades

saw something like this in an old war-time photo, some guy was having a smoke and had an Ace of Spades in the strap on his helmet along with more smokes. I thought it looked really cool and badass, gave the picture a lot of personality, and when i picked up these sketchcards, i realized they're roughly the same size, so the idea for the Ace of Spades was born.

I wanted to make it really dark and gritty, but slightly elegant at the same time. just black and white seemed to work really well (im glad i didn't colour it), and then i burned it and cut it up to give it a weathered look, like it's seen a lot of action.
